Part of a greater move away from traditional print media to digital services for the Gerard Lighting Group of brands, this website for the Sylvania brand is the first of a number of web applications that provides technical product data to assist people to select the right type of product for their needs.
The big win in this project was designing a user-friendly method for customers to find what they need in a very large product range. To add to the complexity, each product has multiple variants.
We achieved this goal using clever product filters, smart menu navigation controllers, and a natural language search engine that suggests matching products as you type.
The icing-on-the-cake was that we also made their new website fully responsive, so mobile users would also receive a great experience – not as easy as you might think… but we got there!
